Craven Beast

It all is finite yet chaos ensues;
mightiest to smallest all in sinews
to the bone we are made undone
and my name is saddness too.

I can’t be exemplar without feast
and famine yields a craven beast.
Routine it can be mundane but
all unknown calamity does cease.

Self-control shows in windows
in my mind that I should applaud.
For I understand all I am and not;
I live in fear of not but God.
