To Feel The Sun

It has taken an eternity to see a

slender veil of the beam healing well.

The sun shines upon us all giving

us all stories we can write or tell.

The green grass I stand is warm

it needs tending mending swarm

of razors to the brain bring a sting

like lightning from some storm.

My faculties are functioning soft

for I took a hit of that thing it stings

my throat the bird is now aloft

so I follow with the cross it brings.

To flutter is no sin to retire miles

of anxiety inside of me you can see.

To shutter is no sin for the miles

have taken me further from the sea.

Upon a current I feel warm strength

that heals the harsh side of eternity.

This feeling is driving and beneath

this feeling of wanting you is glee.

Say goodbye and I can ride the sun

burning me alive I will not survive.

The yoke of despair it has its fun

but my heart beats still I am alive.
