Fading

on

In the autumn moon I fell
down where creatures swell
to make time on earth seem
not quite like relenting hell.

I’m going to dream a dream
where the sun it tries scream.
Waken dear little boy seek
to pacify nightmarish dreams.

Escape the lights of cities
that pollute and distort eyes.
What is most important is
what keeps you up alive.

I’m fading into the back tour
this monument made strong
by passing nights alone that
have been so drab and long.
