The Whiskey Seethes

Fire found my path
and fueled a membrane
in my brain I claimed
heartbreak again same.

Dear friend don’t leave
without all of your lies.
The distaste has risen
up into my own eyes.

Take this calamity;
rain storm born cry
to the night once more
a rush of blood supply.

Foot and heel of me,
I step across the fire.
I feel now my friend
I’m inclined to perspire.

Flame of my head
I snuff it out down
back to my stomach
I see now is drowned.

I poured in me whiskey
to blind and to quench
the lies you’ve told that
leave an awful stench.
