Not The Soft

Am I just a demon
in fertile fields flame
is burning down like
gasoline in the rain?

I light my cigarette
to fight the feeling fill
will this little hell mine
become one with a pill.

I’m going to die from it,
so rest easy please devil
find me a peace I cease
to take it to other levels.

I call the pride my fuel
I love the gasoline I’m cruel
and don’t want anything
but that of some damn fool.

But I’ll be the machine
make the mood so mean.
For I don’t want the soft
light of the moon’s sheen.
