No Games For The Sane

Take this position see me
as I sit here tall and grand.
Peace has found me despite
some crushing reprimand.

I’m slightly sharp and black
for the sky has bitten cold;
strips me of usual fight but
God adorned me I’m bold.

I want to cry and lash out
but I will not go there now.
I’ve got a few words to say
before I find sleep abound.

The words want to erupt
abrupt, course very abrupt.
Yet as I sit here calm ink it I
will not this paper corrupt.

Am I mature in my loss cry
I want to rip off my clothes.
Show the world confidence
is not mine I’ve grown old.

The scars and the crevasses
in my skin tell a story hurt
is my ego but I am fine for
a creature made of the dirt.

I will fly in grandeur for no
limits keep me here tied for
you or my past loves now for
the chance of love I ignore.

The sky will be my harbor
as should your domain sane
should give you comfort for
loved ones play no games.

I don’t know River. I set up a couple of sites and it looks like there’s something glitch every now and again but thank you River. You’re awesome as usual.
