For A Dead Man

To your palace I make my way
upon this dry arid place dead.
My worries have trapped me
and I have no rest for my head.

The sun it takes me as if ice,
it dwindles all of my resolve.
I ponder questions of my life I
pray for help the Lord to solve.

A new day takes my spirit up
but the heat swells my hope.
I dream a day with no pain so
all that consumes me I can cope.

Take me to your lush fields
where I dance amongst flowers.
Where I see not the day creep
agonizingly watching the hours.

The day is oppressive the day
oh how it comes uncertain past.
The only thing that I love here
is the moments my love lasts.

Fill me with your dreams love,
take me to euphoric paths true.
Turn my anguish to soft tunes
and fill my soul dear with you.
