Sight In My Grave

I have found myself in a grave.
Me staring up as a bottom dweller.
A final resting spot for emotion.
Buried with my shadow, I know it well.
Underneath all relevant I cry out.
Take this pain away Lord.
Rip it from me as I dwell in isolation.
An empty vat of tumult and anguish,
I beg my grave be one of light.
While all that would keep me down
I see it unfold here and now.
From the bottom I see the heights.
I see what I’m capable of and where I need be.
Light diminishes from me but I hope.
I keep steadfast, making the best of the grave I dug myself.
