A Voice In The Void

It’s half past time
for my own disease
to turn back time;
relief I try plead.

I’m okay for now,
in time I won’t be.
All seasons pass
regardless of me.

I know I like little
moments to reflect.
Regret stands as a
standard of neglect.

I can not blame
Father Time now.
A destination I’ve
found is not sound.

My disease a rogue
thought enters me.
A knife calls to see
Father Time leave.

But I have heard in a
void a sudden voice.
Calling me to say,
they same need joy.

Yours,

Jared

P.S.

If anyone struggles with depression or suicide ideation please listen to me. You are not alone. Even in your saddness you feel none have felt believe me I understand. We are creatures born to be together.

In the Bible God says to go forth and multiply. โ€œBe fruitful and multiply.” Gen. 9:1 If you feel alone and that there is no way out please call someone immediately. If you want to keep your struggle private you can call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255 here in the United States.

Since my poem was a little dark I thought I might try a pleasant and fun song this evening by a band I grew up listening to. Here is “Amber” by 311.

None needed, people need to know that they arenโ€™t alone in their feelings. Also on the other hand people need to recognize the signs that someone is in trouble.
