Moonlight’s Master

Yesterday plays through my head;
the day gone has my sense bled.

I see visions like I’m on some drug
that keeps me buried in a hole dug.

Sometimes we need redo our wrongs;
but today I want to see it past gone.

Yesterday I saw you make the sky fall;
away the moon is at your beckon call.

Rearrange it all to make sense to you;
dear I’m stuck in a daydream’s groove.

As if some child I do and will weep;
you slip into dreams while I sleep.

What is this power you possess my
dear with your eyes I see you I cry.

Bring me you do a soft moon’s reach,
a light of heaven I will forever keep.
